Job Description:

Metric GEO is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to lead substation design engineering projects and work on cutting-edge energy solutions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 7+ years of related work experience, and a Professional Engineering (PE) License.

• Lead substation design engineering projects for distribution, sub-transmission, and transmission voltage classes
• Create electrical design outputs, such as protective relays for protection and control design, and/or physical design elements
• Manage project scheduling, meetings, and resource planning
• Engage directly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control for projects and provide mentorship to junior engineers Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 7 or more years of related work experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Micro Station software
  • Substation Design experience - Physical and/or Protection & Controls
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License
