The Human Resources Office of East Mississippi State Hospital has a (1) vacant position for Behavioral Health Tech I to be assigned to RPW Nursing Facility
STARTING SALARY: $1836.66 Monthly

WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday 8a-5p

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field (social work/services, education, criminal justice, etc.)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• 
  
• Complete formal written or typed initial, quarterly, and annual assessments for residents on caseload
  
• Conduct individual/group/family psychoeducation
  
• Conduct supportive counseling and psychotherapy sessions with residents
  
• Administer psychological tests, scores, and interpret under the supervision of a master level psychology staff
  
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Care Plan Team meetings with other staff, residents, and family providing relevant verbal reports
  
• Design, implement, and train staff on resident's Behavioral Management Plans of intervention to address problematic symptoms and behaviors under supervision from a master level psychology staff
  
• Conduct or co-facilitate weekly counseling groups
  
• Assist nursing facility staff on handling issues with residents pertaining to mental diagnosis and behavioral intervention
  
• Assist as needed with education and training of new hires during monthly NHD orientation on the role of the Behavioral Health Department at the nursing facility
  
• Participate in mandatory continuing education, training, and staff in-services as assigned
  
• Other duties deemed necessary
