Job Description:
Job Overview:We are currently seeking a Lead Technician for our
facility in Hamilton, MS. This position will report to the Area
Facilities Manager.The Lead Technician will be responsible for
ensuring production requirements are met, and the facility is
operated in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. This is a
front-line operations role that will respond to unplanned events,
work independently, and make technical decisions and
recommendations to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of
the facility. This position requires a combination of office and
field work. Accessibility during off-hours (laptop and cell phone)
is required. Key Responsibilities:
- Direct plant's daily priorities and activities, giving guidance
and direction to technicians.
- Ensuring technicians are trained and supported to maximize
potential.
- Proactively and effectively communicating with Area Facilities
Manager on operating plan and deviations.
- Drive improvements in productivity and cost savings.
- Compliance with all applicable regulatory, policy, and internal
engineering standards.
- Reading and interpreting Electrical Schematics, Process
Diagrams, and Electrical One Line Diagrams.
- Troubleshooting plant process, or equipment problems, and
implementing solutions.
- Maintain QA program, facilitate customer and corporate
compliance.
- Coordinates plant interruptions, major outage and project work
with management and reliability centers.
- Maintains documentation of equipment and processes.
- Responsible for process safety information related to plant
activities (MOC, HWP).
- Operates units to continuously supply products in quantities
and qualities safely and economically, complying with all
environmental regulations, quality standards, and daily customer
requirements.Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associates in Applied Sciences Degree or equivalent
apprenticeship preferred.
- Minimum of three years Production Operations experience in an
industrial environment strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of chemical plants, with a preference on
industrial gas plant processes.
- Experience with installation and troubleshooting of industrial
equipment.
- Working knowledge of Hazardous Work Permits (HWP) and
Management of Change (MOC).
- Excellent communication, team interaction, and presentation
skills.
- Self-starter who is comfortable working independently,
effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with
minimal supervision.
- Must have a positive attitude, be willing to quickly adapt to
changing situations, have strong communications skills, and a
strong will to build and maintain productive relationships across
departmental lines.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and
